Trust & Safety
Safety is our highest priority
Every Drift trip is backed by a framework designed to protect riders, drivers, and the communities we operate in.
01Our five safety principles
- Safety First: safety takes priority over speed, convenience, or profitability.
- Respect for Everyone: every community member deserves respect regardless of age, gender, race, nationality, religion, disability, or background.
- Accountability: drivers, riders, and platform administrators are responsible for their actions while using Drift.
- Transparency: we communicate clearly about incidents, investigations, policy changes, and user rights.
- Continuous Improvement: safety policies are reviewed regularly based on platform data, incident reports, and community feedback.
02How we protect riders
- Driver identity verification including NIDA and LATRA licence checks.
- Vehicle roadworthiness and registration verification.
- Real-time GPS tracking during trips.
- In-app emergency reporting.
- 24/7 critical incident escalation.
- Emergency contact notifications.
03Incident response
The more serious the incident, the faster we act. Reports are triaged into three levels:
Level 1: Minor
Route disputes, service complaints, and minor disagreements. Response within 24 hours.
Level 2: Significant
Harassment complaints, property damage, and repeated policy violations. Response within 12 hours.
Level 3: Critical
Serious accidents, physical violence, sexual misconduct, and criminal activity. Immediate escalation, 24/7.
